Open a new document. Make it the size 400 by 400. This will give us some room to work with.

Step one: Grab the text tool and write out your text in the document. Make sure your font is verdana., size 60, font set on bold and make sure that all the letters are capitalized.

Step Two: Now its time to select your color. So go to layer/layer style/blending options/color. Im going to choose the color, orange which is, FF8400.

Step three: The best way to make text 3d is by duplicating the text pixel by pixel. The easiest way you can do that is by pressing these buttons at the same time.(ctrl,alt and a arrow point any direction). Keep pressing this to repeat the layer pixel by pixel. I will point my arrow up. I also duplicated it, 8 times.

Step Four: Now that it looks all like one big smudge what you want to do is change the color of the top text layer. So select the top text. Then once again go to layer/layerstyle/blending options/color. Then make the top layer a lighter orange. I chose the color, FFAE00.

Step Five: Its 3d congratulations. I know what your thinking looks a little plain. Thats right but were not done yet. What you want to do now is open your layers pallet. You can do this  by going to windows/and selecting layers. Once the pallet pops up, find the background layer. Once you found it you will make it disappear. The way to do this is by clicking the invisible eye tool. Once you click it you see the eye disappears and so does the background.

Step Six: Now that the background is gone, we will merge all the layers together so we can work on them as one layer. So go to layer/merge all layers. Then go back to the layers pallet. Click the part where the eye was, now you see the eye is back and so is the background, and the text is all one layer.

Step Seven: Duplicate the text. You can do this by going to layer/duplicate layer. Then go back to blending options. Make the color white. You should know how to do this by now. After you have done that make the opacity to 25.

Step seven: Then grab the  rectangular marquee tool which you can find on your main tools pallet.

Step Eight: Then use it to cut the text layer in half. Once you have done that your done. We have our flashy 3d text.
