Your probably thinking nice tutorial but this looks like any other tutorial that shows you how to make glassy buttons. True but were not done.
Now that your at that point, go to layer/merge all. This will merge everything together. If you don't want to merge the background to the button then just make the background invisible and then merge all layer so then your button is the only thing merged. To make a layer invisible press the eye on the layers pallete.
(click main image to see the layers merged, but it will look exactly the same because we haven't done anything accept merge it)
