Find a picture you like. I found a picture of the beautiful Jessica alba.

Duplicate the picture by going to layer/duplicate layer. Then go to image/adjustments/desaturated. That will turn it into black and white. Then got image/adjustments/curves. Then put in the attributes shown in the preview image above.
