Viewing: Turn A Person Into A Statue
I had to scale mine down to the size of the statue's face and to make mine more accurate I like to reduce the opacity of the second picture so I can see through it and see what size the original is to match them up:
I used the magic wand tool to delete the grey background.
Desaturate your image and work with the color balance and brightness to try to get it to match up with your statue color.
